About The Position

Join the team at Cooper Spur Ski Area, part of Mt. Hood Meadows, and help create memorable mountain experiences for guests. The Lift Operator supports the safe and efficient operation of the chairlift and rope tow while providing friendly, attentive guest service. This hands-on outdoor position involves helping guests load and unload, monitoring lift operations, maintaining safe and orderly loading and unloading areas, and keeping lift stations clear of snow and ice. Operators must remain alert, adapt to changing weather and snow conditions, and respond calmly to situations as they arise. The role suits dependable, team-oriented individuals who enjoy working outdoors in winter conditions and take pride in creating a safe, welcoming experience for guests of all ages and abilities. This is a part-time, seasonal position.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older.
Must commit to working weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Must have reliable transportation for winter road conditions.
Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength, including shoveling snow.
Must be able to offer quality and engaging service and hospitality.
Must be comfortable working outside in cold, wet, and extreme weather.
Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.

Responsibilities

Operate the chairlift and rope tow safely and efficiently.
Assist guests with loading and unloading.
Monitor lift operations.
Maintain safe and orderly loading and unloading areas.
Keep lift stations clear of snow and ice.
Provide quality, engaging service and hospitality to guests.
Adapt to changing weather and snow conditions and respond calmly to situations as they arise.
Work collaboratively with teammates.
