About The Position

Surge is seeking reliable, safety-conscious Lift Operators to join a busy warehouse team in Newton, NC. The position involves operating specialized warehouse equipment to move, retrieve, and store products while maintaining accurate and efficient inventory flow. Candidates need at least six months of experience operating a stock picker or reach truck; turret truck experience is a plus. Dependable attendance, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment are essential.

The role requires regularly lifting and moving materials weighing up to 65 pounds, following warehouse safety procedures, and working collaboratively to meet productivity and operational goals. Overtime, including additional full shifts as needed through the end of the year, is required.

Available schedules are Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM at $19.50 per hour; Monday–Thursday, 5:30 PM–4:00 AM at $19.50 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential; or Friday–Sunday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM at $19.50 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of stock picker or reach truck experience.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 65 pounds.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper lifting techniques.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stock picker, reach truck, or other approved material-handling equipment to move and retrieve products.
• Safely load, unload, transport, and organize warehouse inventory.
• Pick and stage products according to warehouse procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain an organized work area and follow warehouse safety guidelines.
• Inspect equipment before use and report mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 65 pounds; use team lifting or appropriate equipment for heavier items.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet productivity and operational goals.
• Maintain dependable attendance and adapt to changing workload requirements.
• Work required overtime, including additional full shifts as needed through the end of the year.
