About The Position

The Depot Lift Operator executes all phases of container repair to meet company quality-control standards and provide customer-service-centered work at the lowest possible cost. The role includes conducting yard checks of tanks, containers, and chassis across departments, complying with company policies, and coordinating with the lead Mechanic when necessary. The operator carries out lift-related activities and performs other duties as instructed by the Manager of Container Operations or Operations Manager. The position is located at 189 Power Blvd., Reserve, LA 70084. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Lift Operator experience.
Knowledge and understanding of DOT, HOS, and FMCSA standards.
Frequent standing, bending, and walking.
Ability to lift 75 pounds overhead.
Ability to withstand weather conditions.
Successful completion of a background investigation.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

Perform all lift operations.
Conduct spot inspections of chassis before loading containers, including checking tires, bulbs, and mud flaps.
Load and unload containers.
Maintain an orderly and safe yard.
Perform daily care and inspections of assigned lifts, including checking tires, oil, fuel, and cleanliness.
Complete container inventory checks on the computer.
Handle inbound and outbound inspections.
Ensure paperwork is handled appropriately and meets company quality-control standards.
Distinguish between dirty and clean tanks.
Enforce and practice safety rules and company policies.
Comply with all company policies.
Work with the lead Mechanic when necessary and perform other duties as instructed by the Manager of Container Operations or Operations Manager.
