Sugarloaf Lift Operations Supervisor
About The Position
Sugarloaf is hiring friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented team players to join its Lift Operations crew for the winter. The Lift Operations Supervisor oversees the daily work of Lift Operators and Operators in Charge and assists department management with on-hill and office responsibilities. The role calls for a safety-conscious person who can creatively solve problems both on the hill and behind the scenes. This is a full-time seasonal role with access to resort activities and job perks. The expected starting wage is $20–$23 per hour, depending on previous ski resort and team leader experience. The position is based in an outdoor mountain setting and involves working with a dedicated team.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a lift operator.
- Ability to ski or ride.
- Ability to operate a snowmobile.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Confirm lift status for the day.
- Manage staff arrival.
- Transport staff and equipment as needed.
- Assist with morning setup and conduct line checks throughout the day.
- Provide on-the-job training and perform lift inspections.
- Resolve employee conflicts.
- Assist other mountain departments as needed to provide quality products and service.
