Requirements

• A minimum age of 16 years
• Current certifications in: Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration
• A calm, confident presence with strong attention to safety and detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Seeking availability for both weekday and weekend shifts.

Nice To Haves

• A strong swimmer ready to learn
• Willingness to obtain certifications before starting (training opportunities may be available for the right candidate!)

Responsibilities

• Help keep our pools safe by actively monitoring swimmers and responding when needed.
• Create a welcoming, positive experience for members and program participants.
• Teach engaging swim lessons using the YMCA of the USA swim curriculum (for Swim Instructors).
• Participate in paid training, ongoing education, and team development opportunities.
