About The Position
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking individuals age 16 or older to work as lifeguards at the Mount Laurel YMCA. Lifeguards help keep pool participants safe, apply pool and aquatic-area safety procedures, and maintain the pool deck. The role offers flexible scheduling, including opening shifts, and opportunities to learn and grow with the YMCA. Requirements
- Age 16 or older.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course.
- Passion for water safety and strong swimming skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
- Understand and apply organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
