About The Position

The Lifeguard oversees the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area at the Lake Community YMCA. Lifeguards must remain rescue-ready throughout their shifts and attend mandatory in-service trainings. The position has morning hours from 5:30 to 9:00 a.m., evening hours from 5:00 to 8:45 p.m., and weekend availability. Starting wage is $12.00, commensurate with experience. Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.

Requirements

• Be at least 15 years of age.
• Hold current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification, or be willing to be trained if not certified.
• Hold current BLS (CPR) and First Aid.
