1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for adult and/or pediatric care to join its Bergen County team. The role provides compassionate, high-quality private duty nursing to clients in their homes, caring for one client at a time and building relationships as clients reach milestones. Clients range in age from infants to geriatric adults and may have varying diagnoses and acuity levels. Nurses travel to one nearby client home and work a schedule selected according to their availability. Private duty shifts are typically 8, 10, or 12 hours. BAYADA provides paid training in the office, in the home, and online; practice in adult and pediatric simulation labs; around-the-clock clinical phone support; and electronic charting using Statewise. Compensation is $30.00–$35.00 per hour, or $35.00–$40.00 per hour for ongoing weekend shifts. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 is available.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- Hold a current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one client’s home near the nurse and provide care on a chosen schedule.
- Follow up on, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide one-on-one private duty nursing care to clients of varying ages, diagnoses, and acuity levels.
