1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for adult and/or pediatric care to join its Bergen County team. The role provides private duty nursing in clients’ homes, caring for one client at a time and building relationships with clients and their families. Clients range in age from infants to geriatric adults and may have a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels. Nurses can choose a schedule based on their availability, with traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts and ongoing weekend shifts available. The posting also offers full-time, part-time, and per-diem scheduling with no minimums. BAYADA provides paid training beginning on the first day, in the office, in the home, and online. LPNs can practice in adult and pediatric simulation labs and access clinical support by phone around the clock. Nurses use Statewise electronic charting. Compensation is listed as $30.00–$35.00 per hour and $35.00–$40.00 per hour; the posting does not explain which shifts or circumstances correspond to each range. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 is available.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one client’s home near the nurse on a chosen schedule.
- Follow up on, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide one-on-one care to clients across age groups, diagnoses, and acuity levels.
