1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for private duty skilled nursing to join its Passaic County team. The role provides compassionate, high-quality, reliable care to clients and their families in a one-on-one home setting. Nurses travel to one client’s home near them and provide care on a schedule chosen based on their availability. Private duty nursing offers traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, hands-on care for one client, the opportunity to build client relationships and follow their milestones, and care for clients ranging from infants to geriatric patients. BAYADA provides paid training in the office, in the home, and online; adult and pediatric simulation labs; around-the-clock clinical phone support; and electronic charting using Statewise. Compensation is listed as $30.00–$36.00 per hour, with another listing of $35.00–$40.00 per hour for ongoing weekend shifts. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 and a $1,200 nurse referral bonus are also advertised. Benefits are subject to employment type.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- At least five months of LPN experience.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Travel to one client’s home and provide one-on-one private duty care on an agreed schedule.
