1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for private duty skilled nursing to join its Passaic County team. The role provides compassionate, high-quality care to clients and their families in one-on-one home settings. Clients range from infants to geriatric adults and may have varied diagnoses and acuity levels. Nurses travel to one client’s home and work a schedule chosen based on their availability. Private duty nursing offers traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, hands-on care, and the opportunity to build relationships with clients and observe their milestones. Compensation is $30.00–$36.00 per hour, with ongoing weekend rates of $35.00–$40.00 per hour. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available. BAYADA provides paid training beginning on day one, delivered in the office, in the home, and online. Nurses can practice in adult and pediatric simulation labs and access around-the-clock clinical support by phone. Electronic charting is completed using Statewise. Benefits are subject to employment type.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- Have a minimum of five months of LPN experience.
- Hold a current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one client’s home according to a schedule chosen based on availability.
- Follow up on, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide hands-on, one-on-one skilled nursing care to clients.
