About The Position
This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long Term Care in Florence, Alabama. The assignment begins on 08/24/2026 and runs for 9 weeks. The role is at a skilled nursing facility and involves working the night shift on a 3x12 schedule.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in Alabama
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of licensed practical nursing experience; long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program; LPN diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work the night shift and participate in a travel assignment
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; document administration accurately and promptly.
- Monitor residents’ conditions, vital signs, and overall status; report changes to the supervising nurse.
- Provide routine nursing care, wound care, and catheter care as needed; assist with activities of daily living.
- Ensure patient safety, proper positioning, mobility assistance, and fall prevention during care.
- Document care in the electronic health record; maintain HIPAA privacy and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans.
