About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The assignment begins August 27, 2026, and lasts for 9 weeks. The role involves providing direct patient care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a safe environment, and documenting care in an electronic charting system. The shift is 3x12-hour days (06:00–18:30), with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The setting is a long-term care facility (Nursing Home).

Requirements

Active LPN license in New Mexico (or eligible for NM licensure)
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
Current CPR/BLS certification
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
Ability to work in a fast-paced long-term care environment and adhere to a 12-hour shift pattern

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to residents under supervision of a registered nurse in a long-term care setting
Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately
Monitor vital signs, assess for changes, and report to the supervising nurse
Assist residents with activities of daily living and encourage autonomy
Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient environments; follow infection control practices
Document nursing notes and care plans in the facility’s electronic charting system
