About The Position
Licensed Practical Nurse (Long Term Care) needed in Newport, Vermont for an 8-week travel assignment starting 08/31/2026. This temporary position offers a 5x8 day shift with guaranteed 36 hours per week in a skilled nursing setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,330 to $1,383.
Requirements
- Active Vermont LPN license
- LPN diploma from an accredited program
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of licensed practical nurse experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to perform duties in a fast-paced LTC setting
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen as part of the assignment process
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and nursing assessment for residents in long-term care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions
- Monitor resident status, vital signs, pain, wounds; report changes to supervising RN or physician
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and documentation
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility; promote safety and dignity
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
