About The Position
This is a temporary assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long Term Care at Mount Olive, North Carolina. The contract duration is 4 weeks, starting on 08/24/2026. The role involves working night shifts (3x12 schedule) in a corrections setting.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in North Carolina
- Ability to work night shift (3x12 schedule)
- Relevant experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a corrections setting and follow facility policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and manage nursing tasks per plan of care
- Monitor residents’ health status, document findings, and escalate changes to the supervising RN
- Perform basic nursing procedures (vital signs, wound care, injections) per clinical protocols
- Assist with activities of daily living while maintaining safety and security within a corrections environment
- Maintain accurate documentation, MARs, and charting in compliance with policy and privacy standards
- Participate in shift handoffs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care
