About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The contract is for 9 weeks, starting on 08/28/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is 3x12-hour days in a nursing home setting.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (or valid multi-state license as allowed)
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a long-term care setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills; comfortable with electronic health records
- Ability to pass a standard background check and credential verification
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following physician orders and facility protocol
- Monitor residents’ conditions, track vital signs, and report changes promptly to the supervising clinician
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living, hygiene, grooming, and mobility
- Perform routine assessments and document findings, progress, and care provided in the chart or electronic record
- Collaborate with licensed nursing staff and the broader care team to update care plans and ensure continuity of care
- Maintain safety, infection control practices, and respectful, person-centered care for residents
