About The Position
Meadowlake Estates is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to participate in and direct the delivery of patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. The LPN helps ensure high-quality services are delivered in a customer-service-friendly environment and is a key member of the clinical team providing resident care. The facility specializes in long-term and rehabilitative care, with a mission to provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet patients’ and residents’ needs and expectations.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
- Previous skilled nursing experience.
- Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practice consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet resident needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Receive, transcribe, and implement physicians’ orders.
- Implement and evaluate care plans.
- Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
- Direct and oversee subordinate staff.
- Participate in duty assignments.
- Organize and coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
- Oversee and monitor subordinate staff functions and activities.
- Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training action.
- Monitor infection-control compliance.
- Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
