About The Position

The Floor Technician maintains the cleanliness and appearance of floors and facilities through specialized floor care and general custodial services. The position follows contract specifications and all applicable safety and security requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at a set pay rate of $21.16 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of floor technician or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75–100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of floor care equipment and floor maintenance techniques.

Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, wax, buff, and burnish hard floors.
• Clean carpets using extractors and spot-cleaning equipment.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain assigned areas.
• Operate floor care equipment, including scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, and ride-on machines.
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely and properly.
• Move furniture as needed to complete floor care.
• Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Remove trash when required.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment needs, and safety concerns.
• Assist with inventory and general custodial duties as needed.
• Follow company, safety, and security policies.
