About The Position
This is a temporary, travel opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The contract is for 4 weeks, starting on 09/01/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The schedule involves 3x12-hour shifts per week (06:00–18:30). The setting is a skilled nursing facility that focuses on long-term resident care. This position is for local candidates only.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in good standing
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and maintain a 36-hour weekly schedule
- Current CPR/BLS certification required or in progress
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care setting and follow facility protocols
Nice To Haves
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following physician orders and facility policy
- Monitor residents’ conditions, record vital signs, and report changes to the supervising nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Perform basic wound care and dressing changes as directed
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and uphold safety and infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
