Requirements

Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligible for NM licensure)
Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
Ability to work in a long-term care setting and fulfill 3x12-hour shift schedule
Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and detail-oriented
Demonstrated ability to document care accurately and follow established policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to policy and scope of practice.
Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and document observations accurately.
Assist with activities of daily living and routine nursing tasks, including basic wound care and post-procedure care as delegated.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, CNAs, physicians) to implement and adjust care plans.
Ensure patient safety, fall prevention, infection control, and adherence to care protocols; complete timely charting and reporting of changes in condition.
