Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) - Long-Term Care - $36.86/hr - Walkersville, MD
About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care at a skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation center in Walkersville, Maryland. PRN nurses select available shifts through an app, with instant confirmations and the ability to schedule ahead as shifts become available. Day, evening, and night shifts are offered, along with 4-hour partial shifts. The hourly rate is $36.86. The nurse administers medications and treatments under RN or physician direction, monitors residents’ vital signs and conditions, reports changes to the charge nurse, performs clinical treatments, documents care, and supports GNAs and CNAs on the unit.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of LPN experience.
- Active and unencumbered Maryland LPN license or compact license.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
- Hepatitis B series or titer.
- MMR series or titer.
- Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
- Varicella series or titer.
Nice To Haves
- Long-term care or sub-acute experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents under RN or physician direction.
- Monitor vital signs and resident condition, and report changes to the charge nurse.
- Perform treatments such as wound care, catheter care, and glucose monitoring.
- Document care accurately and support GNAs/CNAs on the unit.
