About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care at a skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation center in Laurel, Maryland. Nurses can use an app to select available shifts and receive instant confirmations. Available eight-hour shifts are days (7:00 AM–3:00 PM), evenings (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), and nights (11:00 PM–7:00 AM ET). The hourly rate is $39.77.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of LPN experience; long-term care or sub-acute experience is preferred.
• Active, unencumbered Maryland LPN license or compact license.
• Active BLS certification (AHA only).
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Hepatitis B series or titer.
• MMR series or titer.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
• Varicella series or titer.

Nice To Haves

• Long-term care or sub-acute experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents under the direction of an RN or physician.
• Monitor vital signs and resident condition, and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Perform treatments such as wound care, catheter care, and glucose monitoring.
• Document care accurately.
• Support GNAs/CNAs on the unit.
