About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse works in the Skilled Nursing department at Alexian Village of Tennessee in Signal Mountain, Tennessee. This is a full-time night-shift role providing long-term care. The nurse contributes to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by a Registered Nurse, administers medications and monitors for adverse reactions, performs routine laboratory tests and simple therapeutic services, and educates patients and families about treatment plans, self-care after discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care. The role also supports resident safety by identifying hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action as appropriate. Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credential obtained before hire or job transfer.
- High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Required professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities
- Collect patient data to contribute to assessment for analysis by a Registered Nurse.
