About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care in a skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation center in Walkersville, Maryland. This is a per-diem/PRN role that allows nurses to select available shifts through an app, with instant shift confirmations and the ability to schedule as far in advance as shifts are available. Available shifts include days (7:00 AM–3:00 PM), evenings (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), and nights (11:00 PM–7:00 AM ET), with four-hour partial shifts also available. Shifts are generally eight hours, and the hourly rate is $36.86.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of LPN experience.
• Active and unencumbered Maryland LPN license or compact license.
• Active BLS certification; AHA certification only.
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Hepatitis B series or titer.
• MMR series or titer.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
• Varicella series or titer.

Nice To Haves

• Long-term care or sub-acute experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents under RN or physician direction.
• Monitor vital signs and resident condition, and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Perform treatments such as wound care, catheter care, and glucose monitoring.
• Document care accurately.
• Support GNAs/CNAs on the unit.
