About The Position
This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Long Term Care setting in Bennington, Vermont. The position requires working night shifts and weekends. The role involves providing direct patient care, administering medications, monitoring resident status, and maintaining accurate documentation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in Vermont (or eligible for licensure by endorsement).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
- Ability to work the scheduled night shift and weekends.
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to residents under RN supervision.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders; document administration.
- Monitor resident status, perform routine assessments, vital signs, and report changes promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living and mobility; support rehabilitation as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation, care plans, and communication with the interdisciplinary team.
- Respond to call lights promptly and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
