About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long-Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The assignment begins on 08/31/2026 and lasts for 11 weeks. The role involves providing direct nursing care to residents, administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident conditions, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining accurate documentation. The work setting is a long-term care environment.

Requirements

Active, current LPN license to practice in New Mexico (NM).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Completion of an approved practical nursing program (diploma/associate degree).
Ability to work the listed shift (18:00–06:30) in a long-term care setting.
May be required to complete background checks and drug screening as part of the assignment process.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, upholding professional standards.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders; document accurately in the charting system.
Monitor residents’ conditions, perform routine assessments, record vital signs, and report changes to the charge nurse or physician.
Assist residents with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Implement and update care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; ensure infection prevention and safety protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
