About The Position

American Senior Communities is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the weekend option at Danville Regional and Rehab. This is a day-shift nursing opportunity focused on developing meaningful relationships with residents and staff by learning their life stories. The nurse uses nursing skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being and support excellent senior care.

The role calls for a supportive presence, teamwork, leadership, collaboration with nursing and other facility teams, and strong interpersonal communication. Nurses are expected to demonstrate the company’s C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Requirements

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
• Proficient medication management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident condition.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work toward a common goal of excellent resident care.
• Demonstrates Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet and exceed residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Use nursing skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being.
• Conduct resident assessments and accurately document changes in condition.
• Manage medications.
