About The Position
Licensed Practical Nurses at Cayuga Health System are an integral part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team devoted to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to the Tompkins County community. LPNs practice within their full scope and may engage in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services to improve patient outcomes. They execute an optimal plan of care in a shared governance environment. This position is based at the Cayuga Addiction and Recovery Services (CARS) Residential Campus in Trumansburg, New York, and involves rotating day and evening shifts and every other weekend.
Requirements
- Active New York nursing license; out-of-state nurses are still eligible to apply.
- Completion of an accredited LPN program.
- BLS certification. New hires have the opportunity to obtain certifications during the introductory period.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
- Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal clinical outcomes.
- Accurately document patient care and clinical observations in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety practices.
