About The Position

Momentum at South Bay is seeking full-time and part-time Licensed Practical Nurses to join its team. The listed opening is part-time, with an 11 p.m.–7 a.m. shift at a CPT-approved site. The LPN provides professional, considerate basic care to patients and works under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. Candidates should be qualified and compassionate, able to provide diverse care while remaining patient and calm.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role.
• Ability to perform a variety of care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and ability to handle stress.
• Successful completion of an LPN license program.
• BLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record patients’ medical histories.
• Take and record measurements such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
• Observe patients receiving treatment to identify progress and medication side effects.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts.
• Assist patients with necessary daily activities, such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and enemas; clean and dress wounds; and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family members or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
