About The Position

Sutton Park Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking full-time and part-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Available full-time shifts are 7–3 and 3–11; part-time positions are available on all shifts. The site is CPT approved, and the position is covered by a 1199 union. The LPN provides professional, considerate care to ill and injured patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. Candidates should be qualified, compassionate, patient, and calm, with experience delivering diverse basic care.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role.
• Ability to perform a variety of care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with healthcare safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and ability to handle stress.
• Successful completion of an LPN license program.
• Physical condition and stamina sufficient for the role.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record patients’ medical histories.
• Take and record measurements such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
• Observe patients receiving treatment to identify progress and medication side effects.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and enemas; clean and dress wounds; and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family members or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
