About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a long-term care setting for a travel assignment in Middletown, Rhode Island. Start date is 09/01/2026 for a 10-week contract with guaranteed hours. The position offers a weekly pay range of $1,116 to $1,172 and a scheduled 37 hours per week. Shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (5x8 days). The role requires work every other weekend. This is a temporary travel assignment within a nursing home–style long-term care facility, staffed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

Active Licensed Practical Nurse license; Rhode Island licensure or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
Ability to perform nursing duties in a long-term care setting
Availability to work the stated shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) with every-other-weekend duties
Successful completion of standard pre-employment screenings as required by policy
Strong communication and teamwork skills with attention to documentation accuracy

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions in a geriatric population
Provide direct nursing care, including activities of daily living support and basic clinical tasks
Perform wound care, skin assessments, and monitor overall skin integrity
Collect patient data, measure vitals, observe changes in condition, and document accurately in the charting system
Collaborate with registered nurses and care teams to update and implement care plans
Maintain safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols; ensure proper documentation and reporting of concerns
