About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Long Term Care setting in Tuscumbia, Alabama. The assignment is for 12 weeks, starting on 09/04/2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The shift is 3x12 nights (18:00–06:30). The role involves providing routine nursing care, administering medications, monitoring residents, assisting with daily living activities, and collaborating with the RN and interdisciplinary team. The position is coordinated by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (active).
Ability to work 3x12 night shifts with the described rotation and schedule.
Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing environment and communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide routine nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, following individualized care plans.
Administer prescribed medications and securely monitor for adverse reactions, document appropriately.
Measure and record vital signs, assess changes in resident condition, and communicate findings to the supervising nurse.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal care while promoting safety and dignity.
Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, update care plans, and ensure smooth shift handoffs.
Maintain accurate charting, follow infection control protocols, and ensure compliance with facility policies.
