About The Position
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care (LTC) for a travel, temporary assignment in Silver City, New Mexico. The assignment runs for 7 weeks with guaranteed hours. This is a local-only assignment in a nursing home setting within LTC care.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license; state-specific licensure required (NM preferred or eligible to practice in NM).
- Ability to work in a long-term care environment with a rotating day schedule.
- Availability for a 7-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week starting 09/01/2026.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow care plans and document care accurately.
- Local-only assignment considerations; ability to work within the specified LTC setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as outlined in resident care plans.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall condition; promptly report changes to the supervising RN.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and support mobility, comfort, and safety.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate, legible charts in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the nursing team and other care staff to ensure consistent, high-quality resident care and clear communication.
