Adult/Pediatric Home Care - Licensed Practical Nurse
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for its Middlesex County, New Jersey offices to provide skilled, one-to-one care in clients’ homes. The client population ranges from infants to older adults, with care needs ranging from low acuity to tracheostomy and ventilator care. BAYADA offers onboarding and training to help nurses develop their skills and provides flexible scheduling based on nurse preferences, with no minimum hours stated. The nurse travels to one nearby client’s home according to an agreed schedule, follows and carries out doctors’ orders, performs assessments, monitors client conditions, and documents observations, interventions, evaluations, and care. The role offers traditional shifts of 4, 8, 10, or 12 hours and the opportunity to build relationships with clients while practicing autonomously in the home.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one nearby client’s home on a chosen schedule.
- Follow up on, carry out, and properly document doctors’ orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide one-to-one skilled nursing care in the home.
