Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) -Home Care Weekend
About The Position
Lutheran SeniorLife is hiring a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for home care in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The position pays starting rates of $27 per hour, with an additional $8-per-hour premium when working within weekend guidelines. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is paid throughout the first six months of employment. Lutheran SeniorLife provides community-based health and social services throughout western Pennsylvania. Its LIFE program supports residents of Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, and Lawrence Counties with person-centered services intended to help them remain independent in their homes and communities. Under the supervision of the Director Clinical/Homecare Services and within an Interdisciplinary Care Team, the LPN assumes responsibility for participant care in the clinic or participant’s home. The nurse performs professional nursing duties, helps ensure Program Assistant duties are completed, implements the nursing care plan, coordinates nursing care with others, and oversees Program Assistant duties as needed. The LPN cooperates with other disciplines to provide high-quality participant care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Hold a current Practical Nurse license in good standing from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Have at least one year of experience with frail or elderly individuals.
- Have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for participant care in the clinic or in the participant’s home.
- Perform professional nursing duties and ensure completion of Program Assistant duties.
- Implement the nursing care plan.
- Coordinate nursing care with others.
- Cooperate with all disciplines to ensure high-quality participant care.
- Oversee Program Assistant duties as needed.
