About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting in Albuquerque, NM. The contract is for 16 weeks, starting on 09/01/2026, with 36 guaranteed hours per week, working three 12-hour night shifts. The role involves providing direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice under supervision, administering medications and treatments, performing nursing assessments, assisting residents with daily living, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license in New Mexico.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
  • Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts and participate in a travel temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice under supervision in a long-term care setting.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor responses and document accurately.
  • Perform routine nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, intake/output, and update care plans as needed.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, and comfort measures; promote independence where possible.
  • Monitor for changes in condition, report to the supervising nurse promptly, and respond to call lights with appropriate action.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans and participate in care coordination.
