About The Position
This is a travel temporary assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The assignment starts on 09/01/2026 and lasts for 4 weeks. The role involves a caseload of 1-30 residents with no med techs on site, requiring the LPN to administer medications and provide direct nursing care. Some training is required before the first shift. This is a local-only assignment.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
- Ability to complete required onboarding/training prior to first shift
- Capacity to administer medications and perform care tasks with limited on-site med tech support
- Comfort caring for 1–30 residents in a long-term care setting
- Availability to work 3x12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Local-only assignment; requires commuting distance to the work site
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications on the hall due to current absence of med tech support; monitor responses and report issues
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, monitoring vital signs, and documenting changes
- Support residents with activities of daily living and basic care needs within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in residents’ charts and care plans
- Collaborate with the care team and supervising clinician to ensure safe, coordinated care
- Respond to calls and changes in resident condition, escalating as appropriate
