About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports physicians and advanced practice providers by delivering high-quality clinical care and assisting with patient flow in a busy primary care setting. The role contributes to positive patient experiences through efficient clinical operations, accurate documentation, and responsive communication. The position is onsite at Cayuga Primary Care - Tompkins St. in Cortland, New York, with a rotating shift between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The standard pay range is $24.15–$35.00 per hour, plus benefits.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Minimum of 0–1 year of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient medical office setting.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and in accordance with New York State LPN licensure and applicable laws and regulations.
Obtain and document vital signs, prepare examination rooms, and clean and sterilize equipment according to established protocols.
Manage clinical phone calls, including prescription refills, test results, and patient inquiries, according to practice guidelines.
Prepare patient records and documentation in advance of provider visits to support efficient care delivery.
Participate in scheduled team meetings to support collaboration, clarify workflows, and address patient care needs.
