About The Position

This is a travel opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Sonora, California. The assignment is for a 13-week duration with a start date of 09/14/2026. The role is based in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting and involves providing nursing care under the supervision of an RN or MD. The position guarantees 40 hours per week with a shift of 5x8 days. On-call duties may also be required.

Requirements

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice (California) is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required.
At least two years of recent experience in the field.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Able to work weekends and 3 weekdays.
Ability to work in a hospital/short-term acute care setting.

Nice To Haves

Arrhythmia certification preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
EPIC experience preferred.
Hospice experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or MD, following established policy and the nursing process.
Perform routine visits and assessments, contribute to planning and provision of patient care.
Administer medications and perform clinical procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, injections, wound care, sterile dressings) as trained.
Assist in developing and implementing a prioritized interdisciplinary plan of care for each patient.
Coordinate care using appropriate organizational and reporting systems; document and communicate changes to the care team.
Support patient and family teaching, discharge planning, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols; maintain neatness and cleanliness in assigned areas.
Participate in on-call duties as assigned by agency leadership and location needs.
