About The Position

North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide patient care in an acute rehabilitation setting. The LPN provides care addressing patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general needs and supports communication with patients and families. Care is delivered under the supervision of a registered nurse and should reflect professional initiative and responsibility. The role supports rehabilitation progress through collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and provides care appropriate to each patient’s age and condition.

The schedule is full-time nights: three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including every other weekend. The hospital describes a warm, welcoming team culture, flexible scheduling, work-life balance, and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• At least one year of acute care LPN experience.
• CPR/BCLS certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
• Assist with patient assessments and contribute to care planning.
• Administer treatments and medications within scope of practice.
• Support interdisciplinary care interventions focused on rehabilitation progress.
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide care appropriate to the age and condition of the patient.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment, professionalism, and patient advocacy.
