About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse in a long-term care setting. The assignment is for 9 weeks, starting September 3, 2026, and involves working 3x12 night shifts with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The role focuses on providing direct nursing care to residents under RN supervision, administering medications, monitoring residents' conditions, performing wound care, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining accurate electronic health records.

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligible for licensure for temporary assignment)
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Ability to work the 3x12 night shift and perform duties in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under RN supervision
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately; monitor for therapeutic effects and adverse events
• Assess residents, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes in condition per protocol
• Perform wound care, basic assessments, and assist with activities of daily living as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and communicate effectively with the care team
