About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long Term Care, located in Bethel, Alaska. The assignment is temporary, lasting for 13 weeks, with a focus on hospital-based care within a long-term care setting. The position guarantees 32 hours per week on the night shift.

Requirements

Active Alaska license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing.
Current CPR certification (BCLS) required; current BLS.
IV certification course completed.
Graduate from an LPN/LVN program.
Ability to work nights in a hospital setting and to operate within Alaska regulatory requirements.
COVID-19 vaccination proof (travelers must provide evidence of completed vaccination).
Must pass and maintain position-specific competencies.

Nice To Haves

One year in hospital or long-term care settings preferred.
New graduates accepted.

Responsibilities

Provide quality nursing care to all assigned patients within the LPN scope of practice.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor patient status and document responses.
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other team members to implement and adjust care plans.
Maintain patient rights, dignity, and safety; assist with activities of daily living as needed.
Monitor vital signs, assess changes, and report findings promptly; support admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Perform IV therapy and related care per certification and facility policy; maintain accurate charting and documentation.
