Full-Time Day Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Cura of Sauk Centre
About The Position
Cura Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide essential nursing care at Cura of Sauk Centre. The LPN works under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians to deliver safe, effective, and personalized care in a patient-centered environment. Nurse-to-resident ratios are between 1:10 and 1:22. The position involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, providing wound care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support patient health, comfort, and well-being. The role offers 12-hour shifts and scheduling every third weekend.
Requirements
- Hold a valid and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or be a recent graduate who will obtain an LPN license within four months.
- Complete an accredited nursing program.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Be flexible to work various shifts, including 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, and holidays.
- Have strong knowledge of nursing care practices, medication administration, and patient safety protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff are preferred.
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, administering injections, and managing wound care.
- Assist with patient assessments and promptly report changes in patient status to Registered Nurses or physicians.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Document nursing care and patient information accurately and promptly.
- Support patients with activities of daily living and help ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and healthcare regulations.
