About The Position
Cura of Sauk Centre is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential nursing care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians. The Charge Nurse helps ensure patients receive safe, effective, and personalized care by monitoring their conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive outcomes and patient comfort. This position is on the overnight shift and involves 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, and holidays as part of a rotation. The listed starting wage is $27.75 per hour, with a $3 or $4 shift differential. The posting also lists an hourly range of $27.75–$40 with shift differentials. A sign-on bonus of up to $1,500 is available for full-time employees or $750 for part-time employees.
Requirements
- Hold a valid, current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Complete an accredited nursing program.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Be able to work under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Be flexible to work 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, and holidays as part of the rotation.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Strong knowledge of nursing care practices, medication administration, and patient safety protocols is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, administering injections, and managing wound care.
- Assist with patient assessments and promptly report changes in patient status to Registered Nurses or physicians.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Document nursing care and patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support patients with activities of daily living and help ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and healthcare regulations.
