About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Licensed Practical Nurse in a long-term care, geriatric care environment in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The assignment is for 7 weeks, starting on 09/01/2026. The role involves providing direct nursing care to residents, administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident status, and assisting with daily living activities.

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
• Graduate of an approved LPN program
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) or willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to work in a long-term care setting and manage a 3x12.5-hour shift schedule
• Local candidates only

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and established care plans
• Administer medications and treatments, documenting accurately in the chart
• Monitor resident status, respond to changes, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with activities of daily living and support mobility and safety for residents
• Maintain infection control practices, safe lifting, and proper use of equipment
• Ensure privacy, dignity, and respectful interactions with residents and families
