The Licensed Pharmacy Technician performs pharmacy duties assigned by a manager, lead, or licensed pharmacist, including preparing medications for shipment, maintaining inventory and records, and helping keep the pharmacy safe, clean, and compliant with pharmacy procedures and regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
Accurate medication and generic knowledge.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to stand for long periods and walk, bend, and crouch frequently.
Ability to perform light lifting up to 10 pounds and repetitive physical activity.
Ability to create a safe, effective environment.

Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

Perform pharmacy technician duties assigned by the manager, lead, and/or licensed pharmacist.
Pull, pack, and label medications according to label instructions and pharmacy practice standards.
Prepare medication for shipment.
Take ongoing inventory, check in drugs and supplies, and stock shelves.
Routinely check for and remove outdated medications to ensure expired medications are not in stock.
Keep appropriate records.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Continue education by attending drug in-services and keeping up with policy changes.
Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas according to prescribed methods.
Perform other duties as requested.
