Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State Licensure in Opticianry
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Strong basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPAD/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators
- Embrace new technology & change

Responsibilities
- Serve as an ambassador of the Sunglass Hut brand by delivering great service through the Sunglass Hut Experience.
- Act as an on-the-floor leader, filling ophthalmic sunglass prescriptions and fitting/adapting lenses and frames.
- Perform all functions related to the Sunglass Hut Experience and Store Operations to support and assist management in achieving sales goals.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of the policies and procedures for opening, closing, and operating the store.
- Welcome all customers and set expectations.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
- Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Utilize technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
- Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
- Proactively explore the root cause of issues, be forward-thinking, ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, and be solution-driven.
- Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Take pride in store appearance and help to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
- Be resourceful, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
