The position combines optical expertise, precise eyewear fitting, product knowledge, technology use, and support for store standards and business results.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills and ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, computers, and calculators.
• Ability to embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set expectations.
• Custom-fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately under time pressure and high customer volume, maintain exceptional product knowledge, and use appropriate tools.
• Proactively explore the root cause of issues, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns to satisfy customers and exceed expectations.
• Multitask, prioritize, and manage time amid competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies.
• Help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Maintain a resourceful, self-motivated approach focused on continual learning, improvement, and results.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including those for discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
