About The Position

The Licensed Assistant Manager helps ensure delivery of the Target Optical Way and a strong Guest Experience. The role partners with the Optical Store Manager to support profitable store sales, lead the team on the sales floor, and provide guests with a fashionable, welcoming optical experience. The Assistant Manager also supports team development, professional business partnerships, operating-policy compliance, merchandising, store presentation, and implementation of marketing programs and promotions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• License as required by state law.
• At least 2 years of retail or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Optical Store Manager to build plans that deliver profitable store sales against current objectives.
• Deliver daily sales goals through consistent execution of WOW! Guest Experience behaviors.
• Inspire the team to provide a simple, fun, in-style fashion experience by modeling the Target Optical Way.
• Provide floor leadership, guidance, and direction to team members to deliver a best-in-class guest experience.
• Create, live, and teach the culture to build brand awareness and attract new guests from the Host to Optical.
• Support the Optical Store Manager in maintaining professional business partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host.
• Recruit, interview, train, develop, motivate, and retain Brand right Optical Team Members.
• Support team member accountability through coaching, development, and regular touch bases.
• Help ensure eSchedule, Guest Retention, Guest Driving Behaviors, and current Brand initiatives are followed.
• Partner with the Store Manager to ensure operating policies and procedures are followed, including merchandising, store presentation, marketing programs and promotions, accurate sales transactions, and use of sales strategies and resources.
• Model the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
