About the position
Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Supervisor to join their team of optical professionals. The ideal candidate will utilize their optical expertise and friendly demeanor to provide exceptional customer experiences. As a key-holder, the Optical Supervisor will also be responsible for opening and closing the store and maintaining internal operations. Additionally, they will lead and mentor the Optical team, ensuring a positive work environment. The candidate should be a licensed dispensing optician with supervisor experience and a passion for the eyewear and retail industries.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs
- Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy
- Check finished eyewear to ensure it meets optical standards and customer requirements
- Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
- Ensure operational, service, and staff zoning procedures are executed to company standards
- Provide above-and-beyond service on the sales floor and handle customer and operational questions
- Lead and mentor the Optical team, including participants of the Optician Apprentice Program
- Maintain store systems, inventory databases, and business operations
- Foster and support a positive employee culture in the store
- Hold a license as a dispensing optician or be ABO-certified with 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities

Requirements
- Part-Time job status
- Licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified optician with 2+ years of experience
- Supervisor responsibilities
